Learning in practice
From attentive teacher-led lessons in the primary years to purposeful digital learning in High School, every phase gives learners the structure and support they need for their next step.

Literacy in action
Daily reading creates space for learners to explore stories, strengthen vocabulary and share ideas. These small moments build skills that support learning in every subject.

Beyond Grade 12
Learners who complete the Advanced American High School Diploma (AHSD) follow the admission process for a foreign qualification when applying to South African higher-education institutions. Early subject and pathway planning is important.
Select subjects with future studies in mind, submit the Pathway Towards Graduation for approval and work towards an overall GPA above 3.5 across Grades 9–12.
Investigate institutions and faculties early, including required subjects, percentages, APS expectations and any SAT or NBT requirements.
Applications generally begin from April using the completed Grade 11 report. Learners should prepare for the SAT or NBT where required and submit results to the relevant institution.
Bachelor-degree study generally requires USAf exemption after an institution makes an offer. Diploma or certificate pathways may require SAQA verification.
Each institution and faculty sets its own final admission requirements. Meeting minimum academic standards does not guarantee acceptance.
A purposeful start
Consistent routines help learners arrive, settle and prepare for the day.
